Yogyakarta, Indonesia
7–8 October 2020

As you may be aware, the global health crisis with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a unique challenge that has impacted many participants in this conference. Governments around the world are now issuing restrictions on travel, gatherings, and meetings in an effort to limit and slow the spread of the virus. The health and safety of the BioMIC participants and speakers is our first priority and UGM is supporting these efforts.

Following the advice and guidelines from healthcare officials and local authorities, BioMIC 2020 will now be held virtually on 7–8 October 2020. The conference fees will be adjusted. Information and instructions on how to prepare for a virtual presentation will be sent separately.

Although BioMIC 2020 cannot be held physically, the integrity and quality of the research and content will remain and now be experienced in the virtual environment.

Held as part of the Universitas Gadjah Mada Annual Scientific Conferences (UASC 2020) series, the 3rd International Conference on Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, and Biomedical Engineering (BioMIC 2020) provides an ideal academic platform for researchers to present the latest research findings and describe emerging technologies and directions in bioinformatics, biotechnology, and biomedical engineering.

The accepted and presented papers will be submitted to journals/proceedings that are indexed by Scopus/Clarivate Analytics/DOAJ/Sinta: BIO Web of Conferences, Indonesian Biomedical Journal, Indonesian Journal of Pharmacy, Indonesian Journal of Biotechnology, Indonesian Journal of Cancer Chemoprevention, Traditional Medicine Journal, and BKM Public Health and Community Medicine.
