Held as part of the Universitas Gadjah Mada Annual Scientific Conferences (UGM-ASC 2017) series, the 2nd International Conference on South East Asia Studies (ICSEAS 2017) provides an ideal academic platform for researchers to present their latest findings in the social sciences. The conference explores the borders of Southeast Asia as philosophical, social, cultural, geographical, political, institutional, and psychological divisions.

Selected papers will be published in the following journals and proceedings indexed by Scopus or DOAJ/EBSCO: Philippine Journal of Science*, Knowledge E*, Humaniora, Jurnal Kawistara, Mimbar Hukum, Al Jamiah, Indonesia Journal of Islam and Muslim Societies, Indonesian Journal of Southeast Asian Studies*, and ASEAN Journal on Science and Technology for Development (AJSTD)*.
