This year's ICST was the most popular one yet, with over 450 abstracts submitted. We worked hard to narrow down the list of prospective speakers to only the best.
The ICST 2017's opening ceremony was led by our Chairman, Prof. Jumina, from Universitas Gadjah Mada's Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
The conference was rung in by Prof. Panut Mulyono, the Rector of Universitas Gadjah Mada.
Our keynote speaker, Prof. David Black, was joined by a whopping 40 invited speakers. They hailed from all over the world—and some from our own Universitas Gadjah Mada.
This year's conference saw the return of the Computer and Geomaritime symposia, along with the addition of the 5th ANNUM symposium, and, for the first time ever, the OMICS and Infrastructure Technology symposia.
Five symposia. Twelve rooms.
All smiles after months of hard work!
UGM's Vice Rector for Research and Community Services, Prof. Suratman, closed the ICST 2017.
The 3rd International Conference on Science and Technology saw scientists and professionals congregate for two days of discussion and debate in the middle of a dry July. Researchers from fields as disparate as chemistry and maritime geopolitics came together to share their latest findings, in a display of the interdisciplinary collaborative spirit that will embody the future of technological advancement. Much was learned, and even more was revealed in the way of where science and technology will go next.
To all the participants and speakers who joined us, thank you for making the ICST 2017 an event to remember. See you next year.
