EDAS tutorial



This tutorial will guide you through the registration of your EDAS account. If you already have an EDAS account, please log in to submit your paper using your registered account

1. Go to the ICST UGM 2018 EDAS site.

Alternatively, you can click the Register button on the ICST website.

Then, click the Submit paper button under the EDAS card, which will redirect you to the ICST UGM 2018 EDAS website.

2. Below the login form, click Create a new account.

3. Enter your details, tick the box “I consent to the EDAS privacy and policies”, and click Add this person to create your account.

4. Your account has been created. Your username and ID number will be sent to your email.

5. Set up your initial password by clicking the link on your email.

6. Your initial password has been created.

This tutorial will guide you through the submission of your paper.

1. Go to the ICST UGM 2018 EDAS site.

Alternatively, you can click the Register button on the ICST website.

Then, click the Submit paper button under the EDAS card, which will redirect you to the ICST UGM 2018 EDAS website.

2. Log in to your EDAS account.

3. Once you are logged in, click the symposium name—under the Track column—that matches on your paper to be registered.

4. Enter your paper details, tick the box “Add yourself as author” and click Submit button to register your paper.

5. Your paper has successfully been submitted. You will now be able to view your paper in your EDAS account. Click add authors to add your co-authors (if available).

6. Write your co-author’s name, EDAS ID, or email. Alternatively, you can simply select your co-author’s name from the co-author list. Then, click Add author button.

7. Select the radio button before your co-author’s name and click Select this person button to confirm it.

8. After adding your co-author, click upload the manuscript to upload your full paper’s file.

9. Tick the box “I have checked that the authors listed in the manuscript are the same as the current list of authors on the paper record”, upload your full paper’s file, and click Upload button.

10. Your full paper has been uploaded.

2. Final Manuscript Preparation

Papers within scope of IEEE must be written on the A4-format page according to the IEEE template Manuscripts or of minimum four (4) pages and up to six (6) pages in length. Submissions exceeding 6 pages will be charged extra page length. Maximum accepted pages are eight (8) pages. Papers should NOT have page numbers, headers, and footers. 3. Formatting and IEEE Xplore® Compliance

In order to assure that all submitted PDF files are IEEE Xplore® compliance, your paper must be checked with PDF eXpress Plus at https://www.pdf-express.org/ using the:

We strongly recommend that all final manuscript submissions should be created by the IEEE PDF eXpress™ service. The IEEE PDF eXpress™ service can convert your paper from a wide range of formats to IEEE Xplore® compatible PDFs. The service is free of charge for ICST 2018 authors and the guideline can be found here:

4. IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF) Upload

Authors of accepted papers have to submit an IEEE Electronic Copyright Form (eCF) via the Copyright link in the My Papers tab in EDAS, as the steps below.

1. Log in to EDAS using your EDAS account.
2. Select your paper title from the tab “My Papers” on the top of EDAS page.
3. Select the Copyright form icon as below:

You will be redirected to IEEE Copyright page and following the assistant guide through the process. Copyright only applies to accepted papers. The functionality is not visible for papers under review.

5. Camera-Ready Paper Upload

All the camera-ready papers that passed the IEEE Xplore®-compliant PDF check have to be submitted using the PROCEEDINGS under EDAS system by July 3, 2017. To submit the camera-ready paper, you need to complete the steps below.

1. Log in to EDAS using your EDAS account.
2. Select your paper title from the tab “My Papers” on the top of EDAS page.
3. Select the Final manuscript icon as below:

4. Upload the final version of your manuscript (IEEE Xplore®-compliant PDF).

6. Presenting Author and Presenter Biography Form

Please declare who will present the paper at the conference on EDAS. To select the presenting author and prepare the presenter's biography form, you need to complete the steps below.

1. Log in to EDAS using your EDAS account.
2. Select your paper title from the tab “My Papers” on the top of EDAS page.
3. Click the Change/Add icon in the presenter row. Indicate who will present the paper and click Choose presenter.
4. Clicking on ‘My Profile’, and then clicking on the word ‘Edit’. A new page will open, entitled ‘Edit EDAS profile for your name’. Scroll down to the field ‘Brief biography’. Then, fill in the information in the ‘Brief bio’ field. Information in this form will be used by the session chairperson to introduce the presenter.
